The Goal:

Improve Hoof Health & Caregiver Competence

Funding provided: $96,700 + $10,145 In-Kind

Managing hoof health on a dairy farm requires capable and compassionate support at every step.

Kinder Ground has partnered with Dr. Gerard Cramer of the University of Minnesota and Jamie Sullivan of Rippleview Hoof Care to develop a hands-on training for farm staff or other dairy professionals that want to gain experience and a better understanding of maintenance trimming and effective treatment of lesions.

The Outcomes:

Raising the bar for hoof care

Hoof trimming is a big responsibility. Competent and compassionate hoof care professionals are essential to promoting the welfare of dairy cattle. Kinder Hoof Care Academy Trimmer Training provides a unique opportunity for both aspiring and experienced hoof trimmers to improve their skill set. Class size is limited to ensure everyone has lots of opportunity to practice.
