We learned from our Feet In The Clouds and Kinder Hoof Consultations the importance of hoof health.

One way to protect hoof health is to make sure we have quality rubber where cows are expected to stand and walk regularly. This farm had old, worn and torn rubber, so we partnered with Animat to level up the flooring and give these cows feet a soft place to land.

The Outcomes:

Better comfort fewer slips and falls

Old, worn and torn rubber had become a danger, doing more harm than good. Cows slipped and fell on the worn rubber, and exposed cables caused injury. It was time for an upgrade!

It had been over 15 years since the original rubber install. The worn rubber had become dangerous, hurting more than it helped. Installing rubber in the critical areas of the parlor, exit lanes and entrance to the lame cow pen were priority updates.
